The Essex Police Foundation is a 501 c3 Non Profit group that was created to assist the Essex Fells Police Department in acquiring equipment and training. Sometimes, traditional funding doesn’t cover larger or unusual expenditures. The Police Foundation is able to pay for training for officers which wouldn’t normally be affordable, such as covering the cost of an overnight stay or for more advanced training. In addition, they have been instrumental in paying for larger equipment needs, such as our light tower and fully outfitted Quad.

The Police Department and the Police Foundation have worked hand in hand to make sure the officers who are out in the field have the best training and best equipment in order to serve the residents of Essex Fells!
