The Essex Fells Office of Emergency Management is responsible for ensuring the proper preparation of the Borough in times of crisis or disaster. Most often, this involves the emergency response to an extreme weather event, like a hurricane or snowstorm. Emergency Management coordinates the efforts of the governing body with Emergency Services (Police and Fire) and the other Borough departments (Public Works and Water). All the departments work together to respond to these difficult events in order to keep our residents safe. Once the crisis has ended, we continue to work together to make sure the Borough is even better prepared for the next emergency.
