On January 1, 2026, at approximately 12:14 A.M., Officer Rigas conducted a motor vehicle stop for a vehicle that had failed to stop at a stop sign.  While Officer Rigas was speaking with the driver, he observed several indicators of someone who may be under the influence of alcohol.  Officer Chiuchiolo arrived as backup and Officer Rigas had the driver, a 38-year-old male from Fairfield, NJ, step out of the vehicle so that he could conduct field sobriety tests to determine if
