On May 1, 2025, at approximately 5:46 A.M., Officer Chiuchiolo observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Roseland Avenue with several equipment violations as well as a temporary New Jersey vehicle registration that appeared to be fictitious.  Officer Chiuchiolo conducted a motor vehicle stop on Oak Lane and through further investigation confirmed that the temporary registration displayed on the vehicle was fraudulent.  Officer Chiuchiolo placed the driver, a 41 year-old male from Paterson, NJ, under arrest.  He was charged with 3rd degree displaying a false government document and 4th degree producing a fraudulent temporary license plate.  In addition, he was issued several motor vehicle summonses and released pending a future court date. These charges against the defendant are merely allegations and he is presumed innocent until he is found guilty in a court of law.

Officer Chiuchiolo’s quick action is commendable! Situations like this remind us how important it is to stay informed and understand the systems around us. Personally, taking a free GED practice test with answers helped me grasp legal and official language better, which really boosts confidence in understanding public safety guidelines and laws.
