On May 6, 2023, Officer Brogan and Officer Milone were dispatched to a residence on Fells Road for individuals attempting to burglarize their vehicles. While checking the surrounding streets Officer Brogan witnessed two individuals running out of a driveway on Devon Road and enter a vehicle, later found to have been stolen out of Bloomfield. The stolen vehicle took off at a high rate of speed to elude Officer Brogan. The stolen vehicle ultimately crashed and three suspects bailed out. All three juvenile suspects were apprehended. The juveniles were charged with eluding, criminal attempt to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief. These charges are merely allegations and they are presumed innocent until they are found guilty in a court of law.
