On October 13, 2023 at approximately 5:00 A.M., there was an attempted home burglary on Devon Rd.  Responding officers arrived a short time later, however the suspects had already fled the area.  Det. Berger processed the scene and was able to view home surveillance footage of the entire incident.  As a result of Det. Berger’s thorough investigation, a search warrant was executed early this morning on a residence in West Orange in connection with our attempted home burglary.  A juvenile male was ultimately charged with Third Degree Criminal Attempted Burglary, Third Degree Receiving Stolen Property and Third Degree Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.  We would like to thank the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, Clark Police Department, Clifton Police Department and West Orange Police Department for their assistance.  These charges are merely allegations and they are presumed innocent until they are found guilty in a court of law.
